From the last story there were hints -- a hypnotic place, the Sahara Desert rendered in wheat, the unforgettable stillness. Yet none of these really do justice to the visual magic of The Palouse. So we are abandoning temporarily, our documentation of the progressive farming movement to share the visual character of the dry steppe scenography of this most compelling, most dramatic, most seductive, least known region.
